What is SutureHealth?
SutureHealth is an electronic signature network, a common platform where physicians and ancillary providers can work together. Who can use SutureHealth?
All post-acute providers, physicians and their staff. The software is unique because it aggregates forms from multiple agencies, and allows nurses or medical assistants to fill out forms prior to the physicians reviewing and signing.
Is SutureHealth limited to home health and hospice orders?
No, any document that needs a signature can be sent over the network.
Why is the SutureHealth Home Health Face-to-Face so special?
It is the only Medicare reviewed wizard that gives users a library of valid clinical responses. Nurses absolutely use it, making it simple and fast.
Why should a physician use SutureHealth if they are already eSigning on another website?
It allows physicians and their staff to review, complete, and electronically sign all forms from ALL agencies on one website using one password. Plus, it provides physicians a comprehensive billing report.
Why should the physician use SutureHealth if they do not already eSign? Why is it better than signing using folders?
It is fast, easy, and revenue-productive, whereas paper is inefficient and very difficult to track for billing. It will save physicians and their staff time from hunting down lost forms/faxes or dealing with duplicate faxes/folders. Plus, it provides an aggregated billing report so physicians can bill for reviewing and signing certifications and recertifications from ALL home health agencies.
How will the physicians and assistants be notified when they have orders to sign?
Notifications will be sent via email and/or text. By default, physicians are notified weekly and nurses/assistants are notified twice a week. Notifications can be adjusted to your preference.
Can physicians bill using SutureHealth?
No, SutureHealth is not a billing application. However, SutureHealth provides a report enabling physicians to capture all of their billing for Certifications (G0180) and Recertifications (G0179). Home Health Certifications are worth $55 or 0.67 RVU’s and Home Health Recertifications are worth $45 or 0.45 RVU’s. Assistance with billing can be found HERE.
What does a physician need to do to bill for certifications?
Physicians need to review and sign the CMS 485 which is sent via SutureHealth. Billing reports can be generated easily in the SutureHealth platform. A copy of the signed documents should be retained, which SutureHealth will do automatically. The biller must then file a claim using CMS Form 1500.
How do I pull my revenue/billing report?
Pulling and downloading your revenue/billing report is very easy! Once logged into the SutureHealth platform, go to the revenue tab at the top. Once in the revenue tab, adjust filters as needed and select “Get Report”. Your report will download and is ready for you to begin your billing process!

Can SutureHealth increase physicians’ efficiency?
YES! It will save physicians and their staff time from hunting down lost forms/faxes or dealing with duplicate faxes/folders, and when completing the Face-to-Face documentation. Plus, it enables physicians to eSign their entire inbox with the click of a single button. It also enables physicians to eSign from their nurses’ screens.
How can the physicians’ staff help?
SutureHealth focuses on allowing the physicians’ staff to maintain their proper roles. Nurses or medical assistants can complete forms that need to be filled out, such as the Face-to-Face documentation using a “pick and click” clinical library. Physicians are able to eSign from their nurse’s screen.
How can the physician retrieve signed forms?
Because we believe that physicians and nurses should only be concerned about clinical duties, SutureHealth maintains all signed forms fulfilling the requirement to bill CMS. However, users can elect to download their signed forms immediately after signing, or they can download them when needed from the archive of signed forms.
How much does it cost?
It is free for physicians and you are allowed up to 10 users for your free account. Using your free account you are able to sign orders from all Enterprise sending agencies. If you are looking to sign orders from a free Sender, you would need to upgrade to an Enterprise account. For information and pricing on an Enterprise account please reach out to sales@suturehealth.com.
What is signature-related revenue?
It is revenue for which the physician can bill by signing a form. Eligible forms include Home Health Certifications (≈$55) and Recertifications (≈$45). Physicians fail to bill $200M a year for signing home health certifications and recertifications simply because they lack a system to track their revenue-generating signatures.
Does it require training?
No! SutureHealth is very simple and intuitive. We just need some basic information, then we can provide you with a registration link to register. We provide you all the resources you need on our SutureU page to be successful!
Can the nurse assist the physician?
Yes! Nurses can approve orders prior to physician signature, and physicians can even eSign from the nurses screen.
Can nurses fill out the Face-to-Face electronically?
Yes! In fact, SutureHealth has created a popular and simple tool to complete Face-to-Face that uses a clinical library of valid responses to make it fast and easy.
Can a signature be reversed?
Yes! If you have accidentally signed an order, you can simply send an email to support@suturehealth.com to request that we reverse your signature. Please be sure to provide the order's SutureHealth document ID number with your request.
Can I assign an Order assigned to me to another MD within my practice?
Yes! You can reassign documents originally assigned to you by simply clicking on the pencil icon located on the order preview menu bar. Once you click on the pencil icon you may select the MD who you would like to transfer the document to.
How can we add more users?
Your SutureHealth admins have the ability to create and remove user accounts. Admins can login and click on their initials located in the top right corner of the screen and select ‘ My Team’ to view a list of existing users. Clicking on ‘Add New’ will allow admins to create new logins for staff members needing access to SutureHealth.
For community (Free) accounts, admins please keep in mind that your facilities have a 10 free user limit. You have the option to remove an existing user and replace them with a new user at no additional cost. For more information, reach out to support@suturehealth.com.
There is also the option to have SutureHealth set up the new accounts for you. If you would like one of our team members to add your users , please fill out the form linked below:

Why can I not see my pending orders?
If you are experiencing issues with viewing your orders from the Inbox view, changing your filters may help. There are two main Inbox filter options, which can be toggled on the left-hand side of your screen-
"VIEW: ( Personal | Team )" and "VIEW: "APPROVAL: ( All | Approved | Unapproved )"
The "Personal" View will:
1. Show you documents that have been specifically assigned to you by another user
2. This will filter out YOUR documents that have been specifically assigned to another user
The "Team" View will:
1. Show you ALL documents that have been sent to you even if it has been assigned to another user
If your current view is set to "Personal", login to SutureSign and toggle to "Team" on the left-hand side.
How can I get my account deactivated? (signer may be retired or doesn’t use platform anymore)
If a physician is retiring or leaving your practice, simply send an email to support@suturehealth.com and request that the clinician's account be deactivated. Please be sure to address all pending documents before emailing support.
